How these notes are written
Structure
Most notes follow the same shape: what the thing is, why it is harder than it looks, what to measure or check, where the answer misleads, and what to do about it.
The sections on what does not work are not optional. A description of buddy punching that omits the on-site version describes a problem that geofencing solves, which it does not.
Both directions
A principle running through the collection: the same timestamp records answer two questions, and examining one is a choice that everyone subject to the policy can see.
Where a note describes a measurement in one direction, the equivalent in the other is stated, because the arithmetic frequently runs the way nobody expected.
Aggregate rather than individual
Attendance data contains system failures, queue position, terminal distance and rounding. None of that is about the person, which is why these notes report by site and never rank individuals.
Where an individual matter genuinely arises, it is an investigation with four tests, not a position in a table.
Legal material
References to working time, deductions, monitoring and disciplinary procedure are general and jurisdiction-dependent. They are not legal advice and the notes say so.
Commercial position
